Entry Requirements for Indian Travelers

Indian travelers can easily secure a Saudi tourist visa, thanks to initiatives introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. Indian passport holders with a valid tourist or business visa for the US, UK, or any Schengen countries, are eligible for an instant e-Visa online or a visa-on-arrival when traveling to Saudi. The same applies to any Indian citizen holding a valid residency permit in the US, UK, EU, or any GCC country.

For all other Indian passport holders, travel agencies and visa service centers facilitate streamlined tourist visa processing with minimal paperwork. The basic requirements include a passport valid for at least six months, return flight tickets, hotel booking confirmations, and travel insurance (usually automatically integrated into the visa processing fee).

Flight connectivity between the two nations is exceptionally strong. Multiple daily direct flights to Saudi from India—operated by Saudia, Air India, IndiGo, and Akasa Air—connect major hubs like Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi directly to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Best Time to Visit Saudi from India

To make the most of your travel itinerary, the best time to visit Saudi is during the autumn and winter seasons, spanning from October through April. During these cooler months, daytime temperatures across Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla range between a pleasant 20°C and 28°C, making outdoor sightseeing, desert safaris, and downtown walks deeply enjoyable. While summer (June to August) brings high temperatures across the central deserts, travelers can head to the cool southwestern highlands of Aseer and Taif, where high-altitude mountain breezes keep temperatures comfortably cool.
